Anchored at the drums, Charlie Macom has been banging it out in the Shannon Boshears band since 2001. Charlie’s vast experience behind the drum kit started in the late 1970’s and his list of bands include: Joe Davis Quintet (78-79), Frank Rosolino (Pennies from Heaven in 1978), Charlie Wisman (79), Festus (80-81), Cindy Hurt Band (81-82, opening shows for Oak Ridge Boys, Lee Greenwood, Bellamy Brothers), Tripp Brothers Band (82-84, 95-2001), Silverheels (84-86), Tim Sullivan Band (90-95), Crazy Bald Heads (94-95), Warren Crow (97-98), Ebo and the Tomcats (97-99), Toast (96-2002), the John Craig Trio (97-2006), and Max Taylor and the Bluecats (2005-2006) He has also recorded with many of these bands and in 1999, he put together a compilation recording called, “1999 Collection” which included songs that he recorded with various artists from the previous two years. Also in 2002, Charlie completed a full-length CD with Ross Hurley, “See What I’m Saying,” on which he plays all tracks but one. He is currently recording music with Ross Hurley for the movie, “Winter Wood”, that he projects might be finished sometime in mid 2006. |
