For the past few years, the “bottom end” responsiblities of the band have been thumped out by Lori Stidham on bass guitar and vocals. She works with Shannon and Walter night after night, in a variety of musical ensembles and situations. You can find them either as the full band, when they add Charlie Macom on drums, or Lori gets to lay down the entire rhythm section grooves when they perform as a three-piece. She has also been known to take the helm by playing drums on some of their gigs. Not only is she busy driving the bottom end of the music, she is all over the top of it with her vocals. Singing either back-up or lead, Lori displays her smooth, strong and diverse vocal talent that is only earned from singing night after night, gig after gig, to audience after audience in almost 30 years of playing semi-professionally. Lori Stidham, from Maumelle, Arkansas, has been playing drums since
the age of 5 and bass guitar since the age of 11. She has developed diverse
abilities for an eclectic style of music. Her minor in music, from the
University of Central Arkansas in Conway, opened the door for her involvement
with a marching band playing snare drum, performing in the symphony percussion
section, and playing trapset or bass guitar in a nightclub. During the
day, you can find Lori working hard as an elementary assistant principal
and thumping with The Shannon Boshears Band on the weekend. |
